The Best Dietitians in the US: 2025 Report
September 9th, 2025
Finding the right dietitian across the United States can feel overwhelming with thousands of practitioners nationwide. To help individuals identify highly specialized nutrition providers, this guide highlights 10 of the best dietitians across the US, representing diverse specialties and geographic regions.
We included dietitians who hold a masters degree in clinical nutrition that incorporate the best available evidence-based practices into their counseling. Our analysis spans practitioners from coast to coast, ensuring representation from major metropolitan areas and underserved regions.
In our analysis, we also looked at each dietitian's modality of care and whether they are able to provide high-touch care, as limited availability can affect both the quality of care and the strength of the client-dietitian relationship. Similarly, offering virtual services increases accessibility and helps ensure continuity of care across state lines.
Finally, because nutrition is such a wide field, we've separated our list into 10 different niches, representing the most in-demand specialties nationwide. We weight each of these factors as follows:
- Therapeutic Approach: 30%
- Organization type: 20%
- Advanced Credential Or Unique Training: 15%
- Collaboration: 15%
- Provides virtual care: 15%
- Has availability to take on clients: 5%
We've chosen to only list companies that have specialized in a particular niche of nutrition rather than simply creating a list of the top dietitians that offer nutrition counselling for a wide variety of conditions.
